April 27, 2021 – Los Angeles, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is excited to welcome Dublin Celtic FC as its newest expansion club for the Spring Season.

Based in Dublin, CA, Dublin Celtic FC plays in the UPSL Western Conference Wild West Division. The club hosts its home games at Our Savior Lutheran Church (1385 S. Livermore Ave., Livermore, CA 94550).

Andrew Barrett is Majority Owner and Head Coach of Dublin Celtic FC. The team competes exclusively in the UPSL. 

UPSL Wild West Division Manager Will Bungardner said, "Dublin Celtic is a welcome addition to the Wild West. They have been in local adult league in the past and are wanting the increased level of difficulty that the UPSL brings to the market. I look forward to seeing their successes in the league."

Dublin Celtic FC was created in 2019. The club began play in a local league before taking the set to Liga NorCal (USASA) and now the UPSL.

Barrett is a former professional player in Scotland with Whitletts Victoria FC and Auchinleck Talbot FC. He previously was a player, captain and head coach for the Oakland Stompers (NPSL).

"We chose the UPSL as they league is making effort to implement Promotion and Relegation while providing a challenging environment for our club to evolve our brand," Barrett said. "This move will help change the game in the Dublin and create a positive impact."

Dubin Celtic FC is an American Soccer club currently based on Dublin, CA, and a new member of the United Premier Soccer League. Dublin Celtic FC plays in the UPSL's Western Conference Wild West Division.

Dublin Celtic FC can participate in the qualifying rounds for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup through their affiliation and membership with the UPSL, the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
