April 23, 2021 – Los Angeles, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce Georgia Storm as its newest expansion club ahead of the Spring Season.
Based in Carrollton, GA, Georgia Storm will begin UPSL play in the Southeast Conference Georgia Division.
Bill Rucker is CEO of Georgia Storm. Josh Bivens is the Club Director. Stephen Bivens is the General Manager. Georgia Storm FC now competes exclusively in the UPSL.
UPSL Vice President Christian Vallejos said, "We are tremendously excited to welcome Georgia Storm to the UPSL. This is a great organization with a great coaching staff. They started with a world class youth academy, and now the men's first team will help us expand the Georgia Division ourside of Atlanta. We look forward to working with Georgia Storm and wish the club the best of luck getting started in the UPSL."
Founded in 2014, Georgia Storm has built a pathway of success for its players. Its youth academy now features more than 1,900 players. Its teams compete in the Georgia Premier League (GPL) and the U.S. Youth Soccer National League.
"We are very excited to join the UPSL," Stephen Bivens said. "The league is strong and it keeps growing, and this is another great step for our club. We're becoming fully intergrated, with a senior first team down to our youth academy, and we can't wait to compete against the other great clubs in UPSL Georgia."
