UPSL Announces Cascadia Division Expansion with Sporting International FC

Tukwila, WA Based Club Joins Cascadia Division Ahead of Spring Season

April 22, 2021 – Los Angeles, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is pleased to announce Sporting International Football Club as its newest expansion club ahead of the Spring Season.

Based in Tukwila, WA, Sporting International FC will begin UPSL play in the Northwest Conference Cascadia Division. The club will host its home games at Foster Stadium (4414 S. 144th St., Tukwila, WA 98168).

Adnan Omer is the Owner and General Manager of Sporting International FC. The team will compete exclusively in the UPSL.

UPSL Commissioner Yan Skwara said, "We are excited to welcome Sporting International FC to the UPSL. Sporting International FC is led by a great owner and a pool of talented players that will bring fierce competition to the Cascadia Division very soon. We wish Sporting International FC success as the club prepares to make its UPSL debut."

Ulrich Kapolongo is the Head Coach of Sporting International FC. Alex Wolbert is the Assistant Coach.

Being a part of UPSL offers our club a bigger avenue to participate in high level competition that's affordable and extended playing opportunities to keep our club engaged in the beautiful game," Omer said. "Our players and staff are thrilled with all that UPSL has to offer; the many tournaments, once the season is over the chance to chase the National Championship and eligibility to enter Lamar Hunt U.S Open Cup."

Sporting International FC currently features a First Team and a Reserves Team, in addition to its youth academy.

The club will announce its upcoming UPSL game schedule.

Sporting International Football Club is an American Soccer club currently based in Tukwila, WA, and a new member of the United Premier Soccer League. Sporting International FC will begin play in the UPSL's Cascadia Division.

Founded in 2017, Sporting International FC can participate in the qualifying rounds for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup through their affiliation and membership with the UPSL, the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
