NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Deportivo Alacranes Fort Worths Brian Gamboa

Deportivo Alacranes Forward Had Three Goals in Season-Opening 4-2 Victory

September 4, 2019 – Los Angeles – Fort Worth Deportivo Alacranes forward Brian Gamboa has been selected UPSL National Player of the Week. A native of Denver (Colo.), Gamboa scored three goals in a 4-2 victory over Terrell FC in a UPSL 2019 Fall Season Central Conference North Division II game on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2019.

Gamboa played 90 minutes in the season opener for Fort Worth Deportivo Alacranes (1-0-0 overall), which is playing its inaugural campaign in the UPSL.

Gamboa previously played for Santos Laguna academy in Mexico. He currently is a senior at Fort Worth (Texas)' O.D. Wyatt High School.

The UPSL National Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by members of the league and journalists covering the UPSL, and decided by the fans via Twitter poll.
